Stir-Fry Asparagus with tofu is a healthy, delicious and meatless dish you will love.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup water
  • 6 pcs tofu (tokwa) drained
  • 1 bunch asparagus end trimmed, cut diagonal, 2inch
  • 1 small onion peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 gloves garlic peeled and minced
  • 8 tsbp oyster sauce (Datu Puti 70g) Oysterrific P10 srp
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsbp soy sauce
  • salt & pepper
  • cooking oil
Instructions
  1. First is to prepare the asparagus, remove the woody ends, gently bend the end of each spear until it snaps naturally.Then cut it diagonally into 2 inch size. Set aside.

  2. Next, open a package of tofu and drain the water. Cut the block of tofu width-wises. Fry in a pan until golden brown then cut into 1 inch cube slices.

  3. In a medium pan over medium heat, heat oil. Add onions and garlic and cook for about 1 minute. Add asparagus and cook for about 3 minutes or until half-cook. 

  4. Lastly, add oyster sauce and bring to simmer for about 2 minutes or until slightly thickened or add water as needed. Add tofu and continue to cook for another 3 minutes and don't over cook the asparagus until it is still tender-crisp. Serve hot.
